Nano Technology in CBD

When you consume CBD, some of it will enter your bloodstream and work its magic. But the critical factor is that some of it won’t be absorbed by your body (and will unfortunately be flushed down the drain). Studies show that only about 20% of the particles in a serving of just about any ingestible consumer product, including CBD oil, are actually used by your body.

Only 20% is pretty low by anyone’s standards. So why is this happening?

Most of the cells in your body are only capable of directly absorbing particles which are 60 to 80 nanometers in size. To give you an idea of just how small these units are, a nanometer is one billionth of a meter. The cannabinoid particles in most commercially available hemp oils, no matter how high the purported quality, is about 2000 nanometers.

So you can see, just from comparing the above numbers that is it physically impossible for you to absorb CBD oil at the cellular level because the particles are just too big. Instead, when you take CBD oil orally, the oil has to be broken down in your stomach before it’s absorbed into your bloodstream and the effective amount of CBD that you are getting is actually far less than the amount you originally took. Not only are you getting a smaller amount into your body, but you have to wait a lot longer to experience the effects, because your digestive system has to have time to process the CBD oil.

Nano-emulsion Technology

Fortunately, there is now a cutting edge method that involves transforming the CBD oil into a water soluble CBD nanoemulsion using nano-emulsion technology.

Nanoemulsion technology is a process of breaking down oil-based CBD molecules known as lipids into tiny particles of less than 100 nanometers in size.

Because the particles are so small, even though you are ingesting the Nano CBD orally, the particles do not need to be broken down by the stomach and they enter almost immediately into your bloodstream. This increases the bioavailability to nearly 100% and also gives nearly instant results. Oils can take 15-30 minutes to show results, while our water soluble Nano CBD can show result in 2-4 minutes.

Nanotechnology, when applied to CBD, allows us to restructure the way it targets the endocannabinoid system (EBC) and interacts with your body, all so its amazing benefits are maximized.

Advantages of Nano CBD

Increases Bioavailability

When CBD is ingested some of the particles nutrients are lost when passing through places like the stomach, intestines, and liver. Because the particle is too large, the body is not able to completely absorb it. Thus, parts are lost on the way to where it needs to go.

Due to the microscopic size of Nano CBD, it is absorbed into the body more efficiently. Higher bioavailability of Nano CBD reveals a lot of hidden potential of the cannabinoid.

Less amount needed

With Nano CBD, less is more. Before your body filters out the nutrients from the CBD particle, Nano CBD is able to be completely absorbed. This means that you can get the same benefits but with less CBD.

Faster onset of therapeutic effects

Easier absorption of a nano particle allows for the effects of Nano CBD to be noticeable at a more rapid rate. Finding the right amount of CBD for you is more convenient when you are able to experience the benefits faster.

Water soluble

Water soluble CBD plays into bioavailability, allowing the product to be absorbed more efficiently but it also adds versatility to CBD. There are now more ways to consume the cannabinoid thanks to the water soluble nature of Nano CBD.

Where else is Nanotechnology Being Used?

Currently, nanotechnology is being used extensively in the medical field. More specifically, nanotechnology is helping scientists develop innovative cancer treatments. Two common cancer treats include chemotherapy and radiation; unfortunately, these treatments also destroy perfectly healthy cells alongside the cancerous ones. With nanotechnology, scientists have found ways to target cancer cells specifically, leaving your healthy ones alone. Across many industries, nanotechnology is being utilized to help those in need. At Get Supr, we are excited about the future of nano CBD.
